José Grimm is a Barcelona-based artist who has dedicated his entire life to creativity. After years of working in marketing, sales, and public relations, he took his first steps as a photographer when he was 20, thanks to a journalist and photographer friend who gave him his first camera. He taught him the fundamentals of it.
Since then, a desire to continue researching in the field of artistic photography has arisen, and he now has his own photography studio and laboratory at home. His hectic work schedule, which is always focused on marketing, keeps creative photography at an intimate level, and the limited time he has prevents him from devoting himself fully to creativity. During that time, he continues to work in photography, which causes him to question his complete dedication to it.
In 2009, he abandons everything to focus his creativity on editorial photography, launching 2beMAG magazine. The ability to have models pose for him every day allows him to put a unique spin on the typical modeling pose. After his sessions, he continues to photograph models, but only for himself.
Grimm's writing is purely emotional and straightforward. He is a fan of archetypal beauty and tries to display it with unusual intentions. He enjoys the sensation of eliciting emotions from his models, which he depicts in his photographs in an intentionally simple manner.
He usually works alone, with no help or production. Lover of the solitude that joins model and photographer, as well as that subtle confidence that allows him to capture the beauty of their primary nature.
