Krzysztof Swęd is an art photographer born in 1966 in Poland. Passionate about analog photography, he stands out for his mastery of classic techniques. Her work is primarily focused on female photography, captured in carefully orchestrated art sessions.
George Hurrell's photographic legacy has shaped the aesthetic of Krzysztof Swęd, whose classic style shines through in every shot. Krzysztof Swęd's photographs are imbued with diverse emotions, leaving it up to each viewer to interpret their meaning. Some of them are even accompanied by specially dedicated poems, thus reinforcing their poetic resonance.
His work is characterized by a harmonious fusion of various artistic techniques such as brush, felt and varnish, especially in the case of gelatin photos. Mainly focused on female portraits and nudes, his works are deeply influenced by Polish poetry as well as the writings of William Butler Yeats. His many nominations and awards include honorable mentions at the National Portrait Competition in 2017 and 2018, as well as the 2018 International Monochrome Awards in the portrait category. In addition, his participation in the 5th edition of the International Prizes for Artistic Photography was crowned with five nominations, testifying to the diversity and depth of his work.
In 2020, he received an Honorable Mention at the Monovisions Photography Awards in the Concept Photo and Portrait Series categories, as well as an Honorable Mention at the Monochrome Awards in the Nude category. His consistency in pushing artistic boundaries has also led him to receive recognition at the Fine Art Photography 7th Conceptual Awards.
