Martine Diotalevi is a contemporary French artist, born in 1962 in Menton, of Italian descent. After relocating to Paris, she pursued extensive artistic studies at the Beaux Arts and the Duperré School of Applied Art from 1988 to 1992, honing her skills and developing her unique artistic vision.
In 2006, during the Cow-Parade Paris, Diotalevi gained widespread recognition when her monumental sculpture, "the Triporteur cow," claimed the first prize. Additionally, her six smaller sculptures, including "Milk-Shake," "Trocadéro," and "Pop Art," were auctioned at Drouot, with notable figures such as singer Renaud and Minister Laurent Fabius among the delighted collectors.
Following a stint in publishing, where her creativity flourished, Diotalevi's artistic journey led her to participate in numerous competitions and exhibitions, both in France and abroad, allowing art enthusiasts to immerse themselves in her expressive and colorful universe.
In 2017, Diotalevi was awarded the Jury Prize at the Annet-sur Plastic Art Salon in Marne, a testament to the impact of her work on the contemporary art scene. Her exploration of Art Brut, infused with the vibrant codes of Pop Art, gave rise to her signature creations, including the endearing "Pop Robots." These characters have captured the imagination of audiences worldwide and have been featured in galleries such as Atelier Art 21 Montmartre, the Gallery of Flying Fish on the island of Oléron, Private Collections on the Ile St Louis, Gallery 28 in Reims, and Galerie Mécène in Singapore.
Driven by an insatiable curiosity and a boundless imagination, Diotalevi continues to unearth the extraordinary, infusing her art with a sense of wonder and enchantment that resonates deeply with audiences everywhere.
