 After training in the applied arts of Lyon and the fine arts of Saint Etienne, I became a director at the theater

  I wanted to do theater because I had the need to work with others, to confront their gaze, their proposals, their ideas, for a long time I put down the brushes for the theater boards, even if the brushes were never far.

            But this journey on the stage of the theaters allowed me to better understand why I had this constant desire to paint, why I was incapable of doing anything else , why I always came back to the same point, the theater opened my eyes to the painting that I wanted to do.

 The work of the body, of emotion, allowed me to open up from the fields of possibility, I left conformity to find a freer expression, closer to what I really am.

            There is a lot of theatricality in my work of painter, even if I refuse to believe that I am illustrating a text, I rather evoke an idea, a feeling.

            So I begin researching the characters, as for a casting, I cast, I look for their poses, the number of leading roles I need, the extras, I imagine the sets.
